At least, the US History part. Like I need to study for the Literature part? So I haven't started that yet... I was planning to do this over the weekend but I got sidetracked. So I'll probably just read the horrible text I dislike and try to make it interesting so I remember all of it. Like that's going to happen. I hate History. I went to visit Alice today. My mom stayed in the room with us while we talked... :S I was wondering if I should've brought her something, because everyone else seemed to have gotten her a present or gift. I always figured those things were for celebrations though, and this doesn't seem like something you celebrate. She has very little respect for doctors. :| Personally I'm more of a don't-question-the-professionals type person, but she's a bit stubborn. Most of the time I was there she was talking about the food they feed her and how she doesn't like it... and then she was complaining about the people there. They won't let her out until her vital signs are better. And who KNOWS how long that'll be? -Sigh- There are a lot of vending machines in that hospital for some reason. And there was this strange sign on the door... ![]() Leninade! ![]() We went to Nob Hill (which looks strangely like Whole Foods) and they had some yummy sodas. I got a Raspberry Lime Rickey! :D ![]() It has this awesome cotton candy aftertaste thing going on. Best soda everrrrrrrrrrrrr. Only problem is that now I want another one. :| The Whole Foods atmosphere confused me and I started looking for cheese Nut Thins, only to be sorely disappointed. Better Crocker products lined the shelves, out of their traditional environment. The big generic brands are supposed to live in supermarkets that look like sterile 60's hospitals, not earth-tone organic-feel grocery stores. Blah. Comment! (3) | Recommend! This is why I don't like asian guys (at my school) Thursday, May 8, 2008 I was walking to Math this morning and some senior guys (all asian) were walking in front of me. Well, I started to move around them and then one of them pushed another, who ran into me and stomped on my foot. And I gave the customary cry of pain/shock. Well, the guys just kept walking on and laughing. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal for me, but my foot hurt like HELL after that stupid guy crushed my toes and I had to limp around for a little while. And maybe I'm just in a bad mood right now, I don't know. Asian guys are so rude here. If they bump you while walking past, they'll either just keep going and not even acknowledge that they've made a small disturbance, or they'll glare at you like it was YOUR fault and what are YOU doing walking ANYWHERE because obviously you haven't got shit for brains and you should just KILL yourself because you got a B in such and such class and aren't worth their valuable time. I hate them. People often ask me why I've got such an aversion to them. Well that's it. Not including the fact that a good portion of them seem to have little to no hygiene and are breathing just so they can study for AP Bio or Calc and go to Stanford and sit at a computer letting their braincells slowly die and marry some poor not-so-great-with-hygiene girl and breed more of their kind. Ugh. I think I shall visit Alice on Friday... This is shockingly funny. Machine by the Violent Femmes sounds oddly relaxing to me. Comment! (7) | Recommend! It's about time I posted these Wednesday, May 7, 2008 Yes, there was some delay in getting these up. But they're here now, so, unless Nutang has some horrible inexplicable downtime, they are here for your viewing (dis)pleasure. It's the offset pineapple. ![]() I swear, it's like... the Mystery Spot only with fruit. There was a dead dove outside on the patio that I had to bury... ![]() Maybe it's gross and I know it's unsanitary but I just had to touch the feathers to see what they felt like. I mean, I'll probably never have another chance to... "pet" a dove. Sadly though, it wasn't that soft or fluffy. Perhaps rigor mortis set in on the feathers, too. I was trying to draw what I've dubbed the "sexy eyebrow." ![]() Dunno why but I have a weird thing for drawing eyes. Although I've probably mentioned that here before... Marina made a face with the half-Cheerios. ![]() It has one ear because apparently there wasn't another one we could use for the other ear. We went to a dessert silent auction around Santa Cruz and there was this sign. ![]() I read it and couldn't keep myself from bursting out laughing. Wording, people, watch your wording. Today wasn't too bad. Alice wasn't here because she has... health problems. I'm thinking about going to visit her but I haven't got a set date yet. In Lit. over half the class was missing because of AP testing so we just watched a movie. Then we had twenty minutes of free time to do whatever. I talked with Laura and AJ for a while, then Laura and I were discussing our jean sizes and how we have fat hips and such and AJ just had this embarrassed look on his face... It was funny. We were laughing at him and he was like "I'm just ignoring it..." but I said "Nah, he's listening, he just doesn't want to comment." So yeah, nothing really exciting today. Oh, but I got a cherry limeade lollipop that was pretty good. Yeah... Laugh...zors I found this on adreen 's page and it's keeping me amused for now. Comment! (4) | Recommend! I could go for a burrito about now Monday, May 5, 2008 Burrito craving.... Not just any old burrito though, the kind you get from an actual restaurant that isn't Taco Bell or some other chain store. I'm sad because Baja Fresh's burritos have trans fat, which means I won't eat there anymore... (it's great how I can look up these nutrition facts online) So I was thinking maybe I could get someone to drive me over somewhere to get a burrito, but the adults in my house who can drive are all currently sleeping. :| Oh, and I have pictures, but I'm using the back computer. Sorry. Trust me when I say that as soon as it's possible I'll upload them. Varsha was back today. She seemed alright, but she couldn't laugh too hard or it hurt. And her stomach looked all funny, apparently. We didn't really get to see, though, someone just asked. Alice pushed me into the lab table and it looked very implicative. Then she kept saying she didn't push me very hard, I just fell over. But I'm not a person of very much resistance (holy crap that sounds really weird) and I didn't make an effort to keep myself standing upright when she shoved me.Yeah... Also Angie was talking to me before about Alice's birthday and it was something like Angie: So when is her birthday? Me: Uh... the twenty seventh? Angie: She'd be really pissed off if you forgot. She might make you sleep on the couch! Me: No, not the couch! It's so cold and lonely and couch-y there! And then I told Alice, and we were laughing about that, and she was wondering if she should eat her lunch. So of course I said that yes, she should, and she said to motivate her. So I said "Eat it or YOU have to sleep on the couch" and she replied "With you?" Then we both laughed for a while about how silly it sounded. Or at least that's why I was laughing. She could've been laughing because it's horribly misleading to anyone who doesn't know how we joke. I dunno. Damn I want that burrito. Although I wouldn't mind eating some pasta + pesto. That's always good. :D Slightly amusing Governator videos. I think someone was trying to imitate his accent He gets his uh... "kicks" from bodybuilding Comment! (9) | Recommend! "I'm usually cold at seventy degrees" Saturday, May 3, 2008 ... So sayeth my grandma. They only get a couple of cold days a year in Hawaii, apparently. And those days are not freezing cold. Therefore, if you detest the cold with a vengeance and are loaded, I suggest moving to Hawaii. What happened today... let me think... I was almost completely out of it today. During Lunch I was staring at the ground and remarked that I felt that, should I lay down upon it, I would sink into the pavement. Alice grabbed me by the arm and said "Okay, let's go to the office and get you some help." :P No idea what's wrong. You'd think I was taking drugs or something. If I'm like this normally though, I shudder to think of what my life would be like under the influence of illegal substances. Nope, I'm clean, people. At least, I am to my knowledge. If somebody's been slipping crack into my food or something that could be the problem. Walked home with Alice, and we talked outside her house for a long time. I brought up the joke-flirting thing again. It's not really a big issue for either of us, we know it's not serious. Although I must admit, I'd find it extremely amusing if other people took it seriously. There are pictures on my camera, I think, but I can't upload them right now. Using the laptop that was "designed for Windows 98," joyfulness. I hate this thing. But it's better than nothing, I guess. Alice refused to eat two Cheerios I gave her at school. Marina and I both urged her to just quickly consume them but she kept insisting she wasn't hungry and that her stomach hurt. Two Cheerios, man. That's like two calories. She never ate them. >:( Angie turned to me at Brunch when I was half-ranting about this and said "Wow, I didn't know she was this anorexic." Text-only entries are boring when they're from me. I'm sorry. :( My uncle explained to me why guys that act like jerks get all the girls. When they do act nice it makes it seem like it's worth a lot more. He gave me an example about American Idol, like when Paula says good stuff nobody cares because she always does, but when Simon says good stuff it matters because he never does. So yeah, that's how it works. But only on girls with low self-esteem. Which is most of them. [But guys, if you read it, don't use this as an excuse to act like an asshole] Clickies Comment! (3) | Recommend! I suck at citations Thursday, May 1, 2008 So I just fixed my bibliography for the second time. And I am NOT printing out the whole paper just to get that one page. It's a waste, man. He wouldn't even look at the rest, anyway. I'll just paperclip the Works Cited page on top of the stack and hand it in... again. Damn MLA format. I helped Alice and Nayana with their Spanish project afterschool today. They were making some sort of Spanish cake things... My presence there was pretty much pointless, but it was justified because I was giving them "moral support" and Alice wanted me there. Nayana had some Pepto-Bismint ice cream. (Peppermint, but for some reason it was pink) That sounds like a picture caption but there's no picture... my apologies. We had class elections today AND I got to go to two, not one, TWO, sessions of the GSA panel. Oh boy! (The sarcasm is dripping off my words like syrup) So basically I spent a long freaking time in the auditorium today. It's not that I don't support GSA, I do, I just don't think I needed to go in there to listen to the exact same thing twice. I'm tired... not that hungry, though. I had a ginger ale at Alice's and a cucumber when I got home. Marina ate the Cheerios I brought to school... -Sigh- Comment! (4) | Recommend!
