A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! Kill that boredom!

So I bought flats for the first time. There was a sale on zulily and the flats were only $26 and they were by Blowfish, that company that made my favorite shoes (my grey wedge sneaker thingies). And I've been really trying to stop shopping so much online, but I was horribly weak. So weakkkkkkkkkkkkk. I guess I don't REALLY buy that much, compared to some people. But still. At least I got my mom's approval. She didn't know what flats were when I asked if I should buy some, but I showed her the picture and she was like "Those are cute! You should get them!" Tiny picture of them from the Blowfish site: Also, a link to the story I wrote, since the only comment I got on the last entry showed interest. TDEGRBM I was kind of surprised to find that nobody else around me ever jokingly wonders if everybody got raptured when they come out of their room and nobody's around. 8 Comments. This short story...I don't know if I'm supposed to take it at face value or if I should try to look deeper but I hesitate to delve deeper into a human meatball and I like the fact that you put the terror back in the Rapture. re: In fact that is my dating theme for the month of October--people whose names sound like they should be in an indie film. » Unicornasaurus on 2013-10-28 10:34:24 Also I dig your new shoes. » Unicornasaurus on 2013-10-28 10:34:55 Those are super cute! » LostSoul13 on 2013-10-29 12:49:16 I love Blowfish shoes. As for your story, I thought the image of all those bodies was something you would expect medieval/renaissance painters to paint into one of their renditions of Hell. In this case God sounds a lot like the God of the Pastafarians. ;) He and his Noodly Appendage. Quite entertaining, anyway, I like all of your random digressions, like the one about the football stadium. » Zanzibar on 2013-10-29 03:52:38 I love blowfish. So cumfy; so cute. I think the only people I've encountered that make the joke of everyone being raptured when they find themselves alone are Christian-type people. At least they get the reference. I've always thought the joke rather made someone seem unassured, uneasy. But anyways. » invisible on 2013-11-02 02:09:22 what? u protected an entry about flats?! haha... i had one flats before but i have given it away because it's not good for my bunion feet. i can't seem to follow trend. » renaye on 2013-11-02 07:54:22 i like the story. reminded me of a 2 minute animation years ago where he woke up to find only himself alone in the whole new york city. » renaye on 2013-11-02 07:58:07 I know how you feel about online shopping, I bought more than 100 bucks from this website that none of my friends bought from just to qualify for free shipping and to see if the items are of quality (of course the pictures are so pretty). Re: Thanks, I hope so too! » Nuttz on 2013-11-03 10:06:53
