A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! Kill that boredom!

I had looked for it before, but that search was pretty much a dead end. Now though, I can feel triumphant. --- My third day of school with the new psych program thing I'm in went well. I really like my math prof. He's very funny. We haven't actually started learning math yet though, so I guess we'll see how that goes... I'm just happy that I seem to be having some luck making friends. That's been a struggle for the past three years. I would really like to make a few long term friends instead of these single-quarter-friendly-acquaintance-class-buddy type things. Since I'm going to be with this group of a few more than thirty people for the next two years, I have more hope as far as friends are concerned. So far, so good... It would be nice to be friends with some other couples so that my boyfriend and I could do stuff with them. 5 Comments. My friend Andrew is a genius and asked one of our transfer students this, and now I shall ask you: Do you expect friends to come to you, or do you go to people you want to befriend? re: We didn't go to the same high school! We were friends/in a relationship during HS, but never went to the same one. » Unicornasaurus on 2013-09-27 12:49:00 Yay for new friends! And finding music that has otherwise been elusive. Also, what was that thing you finally did right? » LostSoul13 on 2013-09-27 06:13:02 HA Wow, that's pretty awful. THAT is why I shouldn't write long rambling posts that end at 2 in the morning. -sigh- Thanks for pointing that out! What'd you think of the rest of it? » middaymoon on 2013-09-29 11:13:40 Also, I just found a bunch of albums that I've never been able to stream before, on Google Music. Pretty siked about that. » middaymoon on 2013-09-29 11:28:34 Yeah I sort of thought that would be where you're coming from. Yeah, what I was getting at was that if we're a group that says "We want to follow God, and we do that by following his Word," then it doesn't make sense that a lot of churches and denominations seem to be based more and more on religious tradition rather than on what the Bible actually says. I was making the comparison to the Pharisees in the New Testament, who were the religious leaders of the time. In the OT, God tells the Israelites multiple times that what he really wants is a relationship with them, but they always end up worshipping other things (even the laws that God gives them.) They acted like if they followed the word of the Law, and not the heart behind the law, they'd be saved. But by relying on the human laws, they strayed from the Godly intention behind them. And I think a lot of religious organizations do the same thing. » middaymoon on 2013-09-30 01:02:26
