A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness." ~ D.H. Lawrence "Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?" "Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost." ~ Seneca "People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect." ~ Daydream Nation "All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death." ~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes "The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road." ~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend." ~ William Blake Think about it Musicalities! Kill that boredom!

So many things could be going so much more wrong in my life, but they're not! For instance, I am absolutely horrible at parking (still working on getting that license...) but I haven't hit any cars yet! I took the bus today and accidentally left my bag at the bus stop, but someone noticed and asked if someone had left a bag there before the bus really went anywhere. I certainly felt lucky then. Also, although I do still love New York and want to go back, I guess it's pretty good that I'm not there right now. Reading some of the reports on what's going on with Sandy, I'm much better off in California at the moment. --- I went trick or treating with friends (eight of us in total) last night, which was fun. We barely got any candy though, and didn't trick or treat for very long. I dressed up as Manny Calavera from Grim Fandango and a girl high fived me on the street. After getting candy we went to In-N-Out and... had... food. Well, I had a milkshake. I kind of regretted drinking the whole thing though, because I felt sick afterwards. It was me, my boyfriend, Jasper, new-ish friend Jackson (Angie introduced him to the group), Gwenny, and three of her friends. We drove back to Gwenny's house after the food (took two cars-- in the one I was in, Jackson and Gwenny's friend Anna sang Disney songs together for the whole ride) and played Reverse Charades, which was pretty awesome. Basically you have teams, and one person guesses while the other three act out the phrase on the card. Some of them were ridiculously hard (4th of July? Really?), but overall it was a lot of fun. We also played this game called Moving Statues where one person walks around and everybody else has to try to move into different positions when they're not looking, and this other one called Ultimate Fucking Ninja that... confused me. The way it was explained was that the goal is to try to karate chop someone next to you (everyone stands in a circle) in one swift move, and you take turns going around the circle. I didn't really enjoy that one much. Anyway, it was a really good night, I thought. Oh yeah, and my boyfriend apparently thinks I'm extroverted. o_o 3 Comments. We just call that game Ninja. It's a staple at my school and my church, weirdly enough. » middaymoon on 2012-11-01 10:31:35 Oh man, charades are so fun. I haven't played Charades in forever. Maybe if you're feeling lucky then you should buy a lottery ticket. Then if you win the jackpot you can give me ten dollars for making this suggestion. THINK ABOUT IT. » Zanzibar on 2012-11-02 03:44:54 Yeaaah I kind of have been "meeting" a good amount of cute guys lately. But I doubt they're into me. Its usually just creepy guys who try to sweet talk. Woah your ex reads your blog? Weeiird. Did he tell you? I loved xanga.. I deleted mine not too long ago. I was an annoying 15 year old. Lord. Im jealous of your life! Maybe someday you can go back to ny. » dont-see on 2012-11-02 07:36:52
