First of all, I don't wear jewelry or bother with accessories (unless you count hats and armwarmers or bandannas, which I don't, really). He asked me if I wore earrings or necklaces, and I said no, I don't. But I think it's because I don't like to wear jewelry that doesn't have a special significance to me. Back when I was dating my first boyfriend I wore his temporary dog tags and the ring he gave me for Christmas on a chain around my neck, and I rarely took it off because it was important to me. When I signed up to be a marrow donor, they gave me a purple wristband, and I wore that constantly too, because what it stood for mattered to me. Even the moodring I used to wear had some significance... I didn't have enough tickets to buy it at the prize counter at the Boardwalk, so my friend said he'd get it for me if I kissed him. I didn't end up kissing him, but it's an amusing memory. I kind of miss those tokens of meaning. 2 Comments. I've never made a soda-cake, so I don't know. I've heard the coke makes them moist, but you can also use a cup of mayo (for eggs/oil/???) and also have a good cake. I can't stand mayo, so I won't be trying that. As far as jewelry/accessories, I've never been big on them. I've had my ears pierced since I was 4 or 5, and didn't really wear earrings. I got a second set when I was 20 (because I'd wanted them since I was 4 or 5), and started wearing CBR hoops. I always forget to take them out or put them back in, even when I make plans to wear something fancy. I have my rings that Dave gave me, I make sure to wear those. There was that period in high school where I was into random accessories, usually because they were bright or had lights. I think it was because I got tired of people telling me I should wear more black for being such a glum person, so I went for bright colors.
