I can see it in my mind, there's a white wall, with little red flecks on it. THUMP THUMP THUMP The noise isn't really that loud to anybody else, but it's the loudest thing in the world when your head is what's making it. And your vision is getting a little blurred, and there are little swimming sparks everywhere around the edges, and the air seems to be moving everything in the wrong direction. It hurts, but of course it was going to hurt. Isn't that the point, in some way? Focus on something in the present to distract you from despairing about the future... wasn't that the plan? Was there a plan? Hard to think about it through this thick, painful haze. But... keep doing this. Why? Dunno. Just keep doing. And THUMP is becoming thump as it hurts more. Hurts. Hurts... Everything is swimmy sparks, and hurting, and so much black. Just black...
