You're unsure if I am a loose end or a strand
that waits for you to mend or understand
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

"But... you don't have a life!"
Thursday, April 15, 2010
Ah... I was going to buy breakfast earlier and I passed my counselor on the stairs. We made eye contact for a second. It felt really awkward.

It's like seeing one of your teachers at the grocery store. If you're not buddies it's just.... weird. And uncomfortable.

Except this was worse because he's not teaching me, he's there for me to lay all my problems on. :| And I have an appointment later today.

Aghhhhhhhh

---Edit---

If someone is going to be squealing like a pig nonstop for more than a minute I think an appropriate punishment would be skinning them for bacon.

I just wanted to share this with you:

re: yeah, my life is in fact average. i still visit MLIA, but just for the fun-ness of the stories. i don't believe half of them, and i don't think "MLIA" should follow every one of them.

Ah.. I pretty much don't have a live because of the sheer amount of things I have to do.. =/

hope the counselling session didn't go weird..

Re: I guess I should stop going to campus cause that's where they are gathered.
» Nuttz on 2010-04-16 12:05:51

oh gooooosh I hate awkward eye contact moments...happens a lot because I always look around at people while I walk.

PS. I have something to confess....I posted the form spring question "Do you know the muffin man?" I couldn't resist.
» The-Muffin-Man on 2010-04-16 02:01:19

In response to your post on my entry: Yes, more or less. Let animals be animals, not chained prisoners forced to endure living conditions that would make a human being go insane.

I saw my German teacher in Walgreens once. I made my friend walk all around the store to avoid crossing paths with him.
» zana on 2010-04-16 10:07:14

did you change rooms yet? or do you still live with the same people that i've heard yap on and on?

re: rock-n-bowl, a.k.a. galaxy bowl, a.k.a. midnight bowl, is where you go to a bowling alley late at night and they turn all the lights off and blast music and lights and junk. it's like a rave, but for bowling.
» thaitanic on 2010-04-16 11:38:52

er....now we are....

Hahaha you probably did say "robust manatee"...the first 10 I had to go off of straight memory so it was a rough guess. Walrus...manatee...I tried lol...
» The-Muffin-Man on 2010-04-16 11:15:15

@thaitanic ... here we call that cosmic bowling lol

it gets even more awkward when you run into a coworker outside of work. one that you see every day and speak to out of courtesy and non-rudeness, but outside of work, they still think you want to talk to them when really, you don't. that's when it becomes a bit awkward. hope your session didn't go too weirdly
