(It starts out alright and then degenerates as it goes on) I've no title for this. (Did I mention that it sucks? Or that it's really pretentious sounding?) Dawn breaks across the deathly halls Of Time, and there upon the floor The story of the world enthralls All those who venture through the door It guards the entrance eternal And casts on us a sleeping spell We listen to the dreams of old And ask of naught we are not told The hist'ry of the Earth goes by While inside untouched courts we lie A single stasis outside life Is where we make our humble home We know not happiness nor strife And never seek to leave or roam The marbled walls so long ago Were wholly felled by one great blow Yet here they stand, now sound once more And kings within them gently snore We know the night waifs in the skies That are but stars in others' eyes We watch the sun and drowsy moon And bide our time and wait and sleep For man's last breath, to us comes soon Then, shall we rise up from our keep Note: Alternative last line is "Then, shall we rise up from the deep" I might as well let you know that I have no idea what exactly this is about. P.S.: Some budgie forum I forgot I joined has gone Christian. The creator or something sent out a long email (that ended up in my Spam folder) detailing how "the budgies have been speaking about God!" This pisses me off. It's so full of religious crap and I can't even unsubscribe myself or delete my forum account... 3 Comments. Decepticon It's ok. Don't worry so much about explaining that you think it sucks, do you think any of us could write poetry any better? "I might as well let you know that I have no idea what exactly this is about." Me neither! But poetry is just writing whatever the hell you want and making it sound nice, who cares if it makes sense. » The-Muffin-Man on 2008-04-01 02:32:44 The budgies have been speaking about God? I'm sorry, I believe that's my fault. I put an Easter pamphlet at the bottom of mine's cage, and she must have read it or something... » Someones_Muse on 2008-04-01 04:48:29 heh i dont think i really understood your comment? lol im kinda slow, my apologies :( » PinkPanther08 on 2008-04-01 04:53:11
